How to Know About Social Entrepreneur Craig Kielburger

During his time at Harvard, Kielburger developed a passion for the social sector and began his movement as early as his 13th birthday. He travelled the world to promote education and social development and received letters of support from human rights organizations. He also set up ME to WE, a for-profit company that sells products and services related to social and economic development. Despite these successes, Kielburger has also faced challenges.

The inspiration for his latest project came when he was only twelve years old. The murder of Pakistani child labor activist Iqbal Masih sparked his efforts to end child slavery in carpet mills. The young boy’s determination prompted him to organize his classmates and create a nonprofit organization, called Kids Can Free the Children. With the support of his family and friends, Kielburger has since rescued countless children from slavery in the developing world.
